Top rated robotic pool cleaners 2016

Lets be honest, a robotic pool cleaner is rather expensive and may not be for every pool owner. However, the robotic cleaners have come a long way since they first hit the market and are good options for several reasons:

  • The robotic cleaners are self contained and works completely independently from the rest of your pool equipment. In fact we would recommend to run the robotic cleaner at night when the debris in the pool have had time to settle on the bottom. Then when the robotic cleaner has finished its cycle we would run the pool pump.
  • A robotic pool cleaner will in fact work as an extra filter, often filtering particles as small as 2 microns.
  • Their scrub and sweep function will help with algae control and contribute to lowering the use of chemicals in your pool
  • They are great for picking up leaves, debris, sand and dirt from your pool.
  • Energy efficient.

We really wanted to get a Pentair Kreepy Krawly on the list, because their suction cleaners are our absolute favorites, but when it comes to robotic cleaners, they just aren’t quite there yet, in our opinion.

  • Bigger is not always better. But still we urge you to make sure that you do not buy a robotic cleaner that is too small for your pool. That will only cause you grief.
